So there was an article in the TC today, tucked quietly into the Local section of the newspaper, about a guy who had child porn confiscated from his home in 2002. It’s just being analyzed now.

So first of all, if this guy lives in a residential area, why is it just now being investigated?

Usually I try not to pay attention to articles like this. Once again it reminds me of how flawed our legal system is here in Canada. However, the street name caught my attention…Wale Rd in Colwood.

He’s a neighbor.

So then, now I know that there is a potential pedophile living no more than two blocks away. Should the parents in this neighborhood treat him like he’s innocent until proven guilty? There are no less then 80 townhouses in this area (55 on this street) that it is required you have a child to live there…

Who is guaranteeing our children’s safety while the courts figure stuff out?
